The year's biggest story was obviously revolution in the developing world and large-scale social unrest in the developed world. Behind many of the mass actions was anger over inequality, whether it be related to income, education, access to the job market, or politics. How should governments prioritize equality in society, and have the events of the last year contributed to realizing these priorities? Is this the beginnning of a long period of volatility around the world, or will all of this end when the global economy recovers?
