The World Affairs Council of Oregon’s Global Classroom presents:

NextGen Women and Men Changing the World
A Youth Forum for High School Students

Thursday, December 04, 8:30am - 3:00pm at Portland State University, Smith Memorial Student Union

Workshops on global women's issues and gender equity including:

  • History and Equal Rights
  • Trade and Economics
  • Men as Allies
  • Education and Leadership
  • Refugee and Immigrant Issues
  • Oppression and Human Trafficking
  • Politics and Governance
  • Media Literacy
  • Culture and Music

Oregon and SW Washington High Schools are invited to bring a delegation of 6 students both male and female, and two adults.

The day will begin with a Continental Breakfast and Keynote Panel and end with the creation of Equity Action Plans to take back to the attending schools.

During the lunch hour delegations will visit the amazing “Walk of the Heroineslocated on the PSU Campus and  journey with theirteachers to experience the many International Food Carts and restaurants located nearby.
