World Affairs Council joins forces with Oregon Humanities for their perenially popular Think & Drink series,  a free happy-hour series that invites the public to think and talk together about big ideas.  Throughout 2013 the series explores “How to Love America,” and tonight’s program, Champion Democracy looks at how we engage the world. Featuring:  Olga Oliker, associate director of the International Security and Defense Policy Center, senior international policy analyst at the RAND Corporation, and author of “The Impact of U.S. Military Drawdown in Iraq on Displaced and Other Vulnerable Populations;” and Bruce Gilley, an associate professor of political science at Portland State University and author of “The Right to Rule: How States Win and Lose Legitimacy” and “China’s Democratic Future.” Cosponsored with Oregon Humanities

 

Free, no registration required; Minors are allowed when accompanied by an adult.
