YP C.U.L.T. - Looking back (and forward) on the Hong Kong Occupy Central protests

Events | Young Professionals

Hong Kong grabbed headlines during the autumn of 2014 as protesters occupied part of downtown for eleven weeks. While the camps have been dismantled, the movement for pro-democracy reforms continues.

Joliot Chu, a software engineer working in Portland, traveled to Hong Kong to take part in the protests. The World Affairs Council invites you to join other young professionals in a discussion with Chu as he relates his first-hand experience of the protests.

CULT, A text-speak acronym for "C U Last Tuesday", is a new, monthly program put on by the Young Professionals of the World Affairs Council. The content and format of the event changes from month to month, but what doesn't vary is the promise to entertain, educate and broaden your horizons. So, invite your friends and we will see you on the last Tuesday of January. No registration required!
