E-questions
This option is for ticket-holders only. Question cards will be provided to all those who attend the program. If you are attending, and would like to submit your question in advance, with more time to think about the question and write it clearly, you may fill in the form on the right. Of course, not all questions submitted, on-line or at the event, can be read at the program, but the ones most likely to be selected will have the following characteristics: 1. Succinctness. The time frame does not allow for paragraph-long questions. 2. Clarity of expression. 3. Relevance to the subject matter of the talk. 4. Politeness of tone. Whether you agree with the speaker or not, questions graciously posed are more likely to be selected. 5. And for the questions written on the cards at the event: Legibility! On-line questions must be submitted by 5 p.m. two days before the event. Questions from the audience are one of the most important parts of all Council programs. Our speakers are often significant players at the senior policy-making level. In addition to delivering their own perspectives, they are very pleased to learn about local concerns. Thank you for participating in this valuable exchange.
