Join the Young Professionals for an evening of sake tasting at Zilla Sake House on July 30, 2008. Featuring an extensive selection of different styles of sake, the tasting will offer a broad sweep of the variety of flavors and textures that sake has to offer. Delicious hors d'oeuvres will complement sake specially selected for the Young Professionals by Zilla Sake House's owner, Allison Lowe.

The tasting will be accompanied by an informal discussion of sake and sake history by Marcus Pakiser, a Sake Manager at Young's Columbia Wine Company. Marcus, who earned kikishi (sake sommelier) is a frequent speaker on sake across North America, and has served as a sake brewer and manager for several sake companies across the country. Zilla Bar is an intimate lounge on 1806 NE Alberta, described by The Oregonian as "small, moody alcove [that] fosters the communal vibe characteristic of Tokyo sake bars, with the city's largest sake selection."
