2010 WorldQuest Registration for Teachers

Teachers, Register your team! In March of 2003 the World Affairs Council of Oregon launched an exciting, new international competition for high school students that has been a huge hit. It is a program of our K-12 Education Program and is called WorldQuest. This friendly team competition has been hosted by many other World Affairs Councils throughout the country with great success!

Great Decisions 2010

Great Decisions is a nation-wide program of the Foreign Policy Association to broaden public involvement with the most important foreign policy topics facing the U.S. The FPA's annual Great Decisions Briefing Booklets provide excellent background and analysis of these topics and serve as the focal point for the many small discussion groups that form around Oregon and the country.

The Young Professionals

The Young Professionals (YPs) group of the World Affairs Council convenes young adults in their 20s–40s interested in learning about international issues, enhancing professional development skills, and networking with other young professionals through a variety of educational, cultural, and social events. Young Professionals programs are open to other members of the World Affairs and the public.

K-12 Education Program

The Council's K-12 program provides people and material resources to schools to enhance international education and multicultural awareness. Offerings include international speakers, a Cultural Immersion Program, WorldQuest Global Knowledge Competition, Teach the World Educator Conference and Youth Forum Series, and the Global & Multicultural Resource Center.

The World Affairs Council offers a variety of programs on international politics and culture, as well as professional exchanges, assistance to schools, and educational travel, all in service of our mission to enhance public understanding of international affairs and Oregonians' connections to the rest of the world.
