International Speaker Series

International Speaker Series
In this election year, International Speakers Series presenters will examine the core principles and challenges that define America’s place in the world.

Every year the International Speaker Series features prominent national and international figures who address the significant issues of the moment. Inaugurated in 2000 to celebrate the Council’s 50th Anniversary, the Series has become the nation’s premier speaker series focusing on international discussion and education. Presented in the 2700-seat Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall, the Series brings audiences face to face with the global leaders, visionaries, and inspiring voices that are changing our world including His Holiness the Dalai Lama, Bill Clinton, Mikhail Gorbachev, Madeleine Albright, Vicente Fox, Ehud Barak, Condoleezza Rice, Nobel Laureate Paul Krugman, Bono, Thomas Friedman, Jane Goodall, Archbishop Desmond Tutu, Wangari Maathai, Fareed Zakaria, and many more.
