Would you like to have dinner with the editor of an Indonesian newspaper, a member of the British Parliament, a judge from Romania, a government Minister from Uganda, a Police Chief from France, an environmental lawyer from Ecuador?
One of the most exciting opportunities you have as a member of the World Affairs Council of Oregon is the chance to host one or more of the 400 plus international visitors for dinner in your home.
It is these home hospitality dinners that often make the biggest impact on the foreign visitors as they allow for one-on-one conversations and a deeper appreciation for the commonalties of life. Often these visits lead to long-term friendships.
We encourage you, as a member, to participate in this unique and educational program. Hosting a visitor in your home for dinner, serving as an escort to professional meetings, or showing someone the spectacular sites of the Pacific Northwest can be a highly rewarding experience for both of you.
If you are interested in the International Visitor and Training Program, please complete and submit the Host Form.
Through personal interaction with international visitors you become an ambassador to the world.
