Join us for this rapid-response program exploring what recent Federal executive orders from Washington mean for organizations involved in resettlement and refugee-immigrant social services, including Catholic Charities, Lutheran Community Services Northwest, SOAR/Ecumenical Ministries of Oregon, Immigrant Refugee Community Organization (IRCO),  and Innovation Law Lab.

How are recent immigrants from around the world weathering these challenges in our communities? With federal funding freezes and stop-work orders, and a move toward expanding the powers of federal immigration law enforcement, what does this mean for humanitarian parole, Temporary Protected Status, asylum-seekers, and refugee programs? How are sanctuary-states and cities, like Oregon and Portland, being affected? And what can we do to better understand the overarching issues and challenges, and be involved in how these changes and policies can be addressed across our communities.
