IVP Mixer: A Gold Stars’ Tour Participant Speaks

Mr. Maung Maung Win from Burma came to Oregon in 2003 on a program focused on Grassroots Organization for Community Education.  Now, 10 years later, Mr. Win is returning to Portland to share his story on the impact of the International Visitor Leadership Program on his life and career.  Please join us to welcome Mr. Win and to hear he story first hand.

Mr. Win's visit is made possible through the International Visitor Leadership Program — the U.S. Department of State’s premier professional development program that aims to build mutual understanding between the U.S. and other nations.  Mr. Win’s program, The IVLP Gold Stars’ Tour: Alumni Connecting the World, is a special initiative designed to emphasize the direct results and the overall impact of the International Visitor Leadership Program. This special initiative highlights contributions of IVLP alumni in their home communities and re-connects alumni with U.S. “citizen diplomats” and counterparts.
