World Pulse Live 2014 (Friday Forum)

Events | Headline and Cultural Forums

World Pulse, the Portland-based digital network which connects women from over 190 countries worldwide with media tools and training to empower and address social change presents a special Friday Forum with three bold women change-agents. The program features Jampa, a poet and rising community leader from a small village in the Tibetan plateau,  who has improved the lives of hundreds through small solar and literacy development projects; Olanike Olugboji from Nigeria who has developed grassroots mobilization strategies to bring the voices of women into issues around environmental security and climate change; and Ynanna Djeuhty, a Bronx-based Afro-Dominicana midwife and writer who has worked tirelessly to raise awareness about maternal and infant health care for women in the United States. Their inspiring stories illustrate the power of digital technology in creating solutions to today’s most pressing issues — and to unite women’s voices to accelerate their impact for the world.
