Khalida Brohi: Conversation and Q&A for High School students

Events | International Speaker Series

As student tickets for her talk at the Schnitzer are sold out, we're pleased to invite students to join us for a free conversation and Q & A with the inspiring youth activist and social entepreneur Khalida Brohi from Pakistan, appearing in Portland as part of the World Affairs Council's 2014 International Speaker Series - Women Changing the World.

Hear her amazing story that began at age 16 (when she took a stand against honor killings) and how she has since created opportunities for over 800 women and girls in 23 villages across Pakistan. Khalida has electrified audiences at the Clinton Global Initiative, Davos, Google's Zeitgeist Conference, and the Women in the World Summit; and has received recognition and praise from Oprah Winfrey, CNN's Christiane Amanpour, and the former American President Bill Clinton. 25-year old Khalida Brohi is the youngest ever speaker on the World Affairs Council of Oregon's International Speaker Series.

The event is free; but due to limited space, registration is required.
