Join us for this special bonus Young Professionals discussion and Face-to-Face conversation with Jason Lewis-Berry, Director of Overseas Operations for the State Department's Bureau of Conflict and Stabilization Operations, as he shares his experiences from the frontlines of some of the globe’s more dangerous places. 

A graduate of University of Oregon, Lewis-Berry has served as Field Representative for Lord’s Resistance Army (LRA) Issues and Chief of Staff of the Kandahar Provincial Reconstruction Team. He has led missions in Turkey (for Syria), Mexico, Bangladesh, and the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), coordinated interagency planning in response to the Russia-Georgia conflict, and worked on public affairs in Morocco. Before joining the State Department, Lewis-Berry worked for an NGO in the DRC and Uganda, and as a policy consultant in Washington DC. Prior to foreign affairs, he worked as a journalist and filmmaker. Lewis-Berry holds a Master’s in Foreign Service from Georgetown University and a BA in journalism from the University of Oregon. He speaks French. Lewis-Berry is a Term Member of the Council on Foreign Relations and a Truman National Security Fellow.
