News | International Visitors

Seeing Oregon through the eyes of local families gives visitors a deeper understanding of our community and builds international diplomacy from the bottom-up. Check out our 2015 overnight hosting opportunities:
-
January 14-26: Youth Ambassadors Program with Brazil
-
March 20-28: Pan-Africa Youth Leadership Program I
-
May 22-30: Pan-Africa Youth Leadership Program II
-
July 25 - August 8: Iraq Young Leaders Exchange Program
-
August 12-24: Youth Leadership Program with Carribean
-
August 21-29: Pan-Africa Youth Leadership Program III
Sponsored by the US State Department, these programs select up-and-coming leaders from around the world and give them the skills and knowledge to improve their community. Host families provide a supportive family environment, an individual bed, breakfasts and dinners, and assistance with transportation to and from our downtown office. Weekdays from 9:00am to 5:00pm the visitors will participate in workshops and program activities coordinated by the World Affairs Council of Oregon.
