Oregon High School Students to Travel to Serbia

News | International Visitors

Two Oregon students will be traveling to Serbia this month as a follow-on exchange to last fall’s Serbian Youth Leadership Program. Josie Inez of LEP High School and Alex Liljenquist of Trillium Charter School will travel with 13 other American teenagers on this two week exchange funded by the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs. Last fall ten Serbian teens visited LEP High, Trillium and other schools and youth organizations as part of the youth leadership program hosted by the World Affairs Council. Josie and Alex will visit their Serbian peers and learn about leadership, Serbian culture, youth rights, and civic involvement. We wish them the best of luck on their trip!
