Reza Aslan is a creative writing professor at University of California, Riverside and a writer and scholar of religions. His books include the best-sellers Zealot: The Life and Times of Jesus of Nazareth, Beyond Fundamentalism: Confronting Religious Extremism in the Age of Globalization, and No god but God: The Origins, Evolution, and Future of Islam. He serves on the Chicago Theological Seminary board of trustees and is a member of the American Academy of Religions, the Society of Biblical Literature, and the International Qur’anic Studies Association.
