Tastes of the World is a four-week long virtual cooking series. Starting on October 9, we will be joined by leaders from all over the globe who have visited us through international exchange programs. Each of these programs will be a Cook-Alongside-Me program with plenty of opportunity for Q&A. 

From Belize, we have Yvette joining us a host for the third installment of the series! She is a member of two women's groups: Women Empowering Families (WEF) and Global Federation Women's Club (GFWC) - Belize. With a spirit of volunteerism, they have done small projects to empower families and children as a way to give back to their community. From blood drives, school bag/supply drives, gift hampers to families for Christmas, feeding program for kids at school, to donating small gifts to women giving birth in the maternity ward at the Belmopan hospital.  

Back in 2017, Yvette joined us as a participant of the U.S. Department of State-sponsored International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) as a member of a Women in Entrepreneurship cohort. She volunteers within the community making masks for students as well as other volunteer programs in Belize.
