International Visitor Program Officer |
FULL TIME
The International Visitor Program enables cross-cultural conversations and facilitates professional knowledge exchange between Oregon communities and the world.
WorldOregon partners with the U.S. Department of State’s International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) to facilitate inbound exchanges with young, emerging, and established leaders from around the world. Visitors are nominated and selected by U.S. Embassies around the world to travel to select U.S. cities for several weeks. Program activities reflect the professional interests of the visiting leaders and U.S. foreign policy goals including topics such as environmental sustainability, transportation accessibility, advancing minority rights, and more!
This is a unique opportunity to plan and implement inbound international exchange programs, including the prestigious U.S. Department of State’s International Visitor Leadership Program, at Oregon's premier international affairs organization and contribute to its mission of connecting Oregonians to the world.

Young Leaders in Action Coordinator |
PART TIME
Young Leaders in Action is a youth-directed program that brings together approximately 20 high school students from across the greater Portland area who are interested in learning about all things international while building important leadership skills.
Throughout the year, participants will also work in groups to help design, plan, and facilitate WorldOregon's annual Youth Forum, in the Spring. The goal of the program is to develop a network of young leaders in our community with a strong awareness and understanding of global issues, and to build young leaders' capacity to take action through service, advocacy, and intercultural understanding.
This is a unique opportunity to use your youth leadership skills and interest in global issues to work with Oregon's premier international affairs organization and contribute to its mission of connecting Oregonians to the world.
