What is the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC)? With a singular mission to reduce global poverty through economic growth, the MCC (created by U.S. Congress 2004 with strong bipartisan support), delivers foreign assistance and works with the world’s poorest countries that are committed to just and democratic governance, economic freedom, and investment in their citizens. Working across sectors—from agriculture, public health, education, and energy to land use and property rights, infrastructure, and water/sanitation/irrigation —they provide time-limited grants and investments in core infrastructure, policy, and institutional reforms that are key interventions working to improve the lives of nearly 270 million people across 46 countries and five continents.

How does it work and where are we seeing their impact? How can organizations and sectors learn more about opportunities to do business or partner with MCC and help reduce poverty through equitable economic growth programs?  Join us for an engaging, close-up look at the bold, innovative work of the Millennium Challenge Corporation with Aysha House, Vice President, Congressional and Public Affairs, and learn how Oregon and SW Washington might be part of building resiliency and self-determination across the globe.

This event is free and open to the public but due to space limitations registration is required.

Cosponsored by the U.S. Commercial Service and WorldOregon
