International Speaker Series

The International Speaker Series is one of the nation's premiere platforms for international affairs. Designed to engage Oregonians with global perspectives. The series puts you in the room with global leaders, visionaries, and inspiring voices that are changing our world.

From his Holiness the Dalai Lama, Bill Clinton, Shaun King, Madeline Albright, Jane Goodall, Archbishop Desmond Tutu, Mikhail Gorbachev, and more--come and join the global conversation with us at our new location, the Newmark Theatre!

Listen to our 2019 International Speaker Series, "Future Leaders, Global Voices" with Julian Castro, Jaha Dukureh, Farah Pandith, and Erica Fernandez.

**In 2020, we look forward to celebrating the 20th anniversary of the International Speaker Series. Our team is hard at work crafting a lineup which will reflect the changing international landscape and how it relates to our community here in Oregon.

We will not be offering a pre-sale for the upcoming season. We appreciate your patience as we finalize our program to bring you new and exciting global leaders in 2020. Stay tuned in the Fall for more details!

History

The International Speaker Series was inagurated on the occasion of WorldOregon's 50th anniversary (formerly World Affairs Council of Oregon).  With the intent of connecting Oregonians to issues that go "beyond the headline, below the fold" --our speakers bring a more nuanced perspective off issues affecting our shared global future.
