WorldOregon Story Map

We are excited to share with you all that WorldOregon is participating in the launch of the Global Ties U.S. Citizen Diplomacy Map: A Journey of International Friendships! The national visitor program network collected exchanges impact stories from various nonprofits in the country who host U.S. Department of State Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs to highlight and celebrate the stories of international exchange and relationships built between community leaders around the globe.

  • You can explore the interactive story map and start reading their stories HERE.
  • And WorldOregon is thrilled to participate with a story map of our own! CLICK HERE to view WorldOregon’s story map.
  • International Visitor Program alumni: CLICK THIS LINK to the Citizen Diplomacy Map submission form to add your story!

We will continue adding the stories of alumni over time, and are grateful to share the stories of these incredible leaders with you!

Virtual Cooking Class with International Visitor Program alumni

As a way to engage former International Visitor Program alumni and get their stories, WorldOregon is also launching a virtual cooking series this fall and would be delighted to have you as a host of one of our courses! To kick off this program, we would like to have 4 alumni to host one of the 4 cooking courses in this series. Depending on alumni interest, we may continue these programs in the Spring! The programs will be in English and an hour and a half long. It would be an amazing way to showcase a favorite local dish or food that is of importance to you, your family, or your country.
