Featured Speaker: Mic Crenshaw-MC, Poet, Activist, Speaker and Leader. Co-founded GlobalFam & Organizer for Afrikan Hiphop Caravan.

“In order to improve the chances for Humanity to transform our consciousness and behavior we need to understand the climate crisis as the result of historical injustice. Exploitation of people and resources for profit is the root of ongoing violence, destruction and devastation that threatens to end all life on Earth.”

The Youth Forum will explore the global link between the environment and social justice, offering workshops, resources, an action fair and networking opportunities for high school students.

Registration fee: $130 for 10 high school students plus 2 chaperones (includes lunch & a copy of A People's Curriculum for the Earth).

Co-sponsored by: Portland Public Schools Climate Justice Committee, Rethinking Schools, and Portland State University's Office of International Affairs.
